Since the fourth season of Netflix’s supernatural wonderStranger Thingsrecently wrapped, leaving audiences worldwide on a ginormous cliffhanger and poor Hawkins, Indiana in more dire shape than ever, the ongoing conflict with the Upside Down has all but forced Eleven and the others to leave their normal lives behind. No more weekly Dungeons and Dragons escapades in Mike’s basement, no more trips to a wholesomely 80s mall for movies and ice cream, and more Eggo waffle binges for Eleven. The latter likely doesn’t bother Eleven actress Millie Bobby Brown, however, as pera reportfrom Cinema Blend, she disclosed in an interview with Wired that she in fact does not like waffles, at all.
One of the most memorable aspects of Season 1 was a much younger Eleven being found by Mike and his friends at night in the forest. Sheltering her in his parent’s basement, Mike offers her one of the few foods he can make - Eggo waffles. Despite never having eaten such a thing before, she immediately falls in love with the breakfast treat, even straight of the box. Later she’d be found stealing several boxes of Eggos from a local supermarket. They would become Eleven’s trademark for a time, and real sales of the classic waffle brand actually shot up everywhere thanks to the show.

Despite this otherwise cute aspect to her character, Millie Bobby Brown humorously does not enjoy those Eggos. In fact, she had to do a workaround on theStranger Thingsset whenever shooting scenes of her eating waffles.
No, I don’t [like waffles]. People think I do. But actually in Stranger Things, I had a little spit bucket next to me, and I’d spit into it. Because I couldn’t swallow the waffles because I’d gag.
While she certainly isn’t the only actor who’s had to put up with eating or drinking something they personally don’t like for the character they play, it’s still a comical little revelation for fans.

While she may not share the same taste in food as her beloved heroine, Millie nonetheless holds Eleven near and dear to her heart, and loves to show it. She chose to get the exact same numerical “011” tattoo on wrist as her character, and displays proudly it in the same interview, which can be viewed below.
Millie will reprise her breakout role once more in the fifth and final season ofStranger Things. While a release date or even a ballpark has yet to be announced, given the massive scale of the previous season and that productionisn’t set to begin until May, it’s safe to say we won’t get a trailer until maybe the holiday season.
