Matt Reeves returns to direct after helping the box office success story that was Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Andy Serkis leads anall-star cast, returning as the ape Caesar. Also included in the cast are Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Judy Greer, Karin Konoval, Amiah Miller, Terry Notary.
The first footage fromWar for the Planet of the Apesis expected to debut tonight. Matt Reeves will be coming to the Javits center along with producer Dylan Clark and actor Andy Serkis, to celebrateNYCC 2016. They will be showing off some behind-the-scenes footage and a trailer is expected as well, but not confirmed. The panel is happening on Thursday, October 6 at 8:30. The footage will be shown off at the Regal E-Walk Theater. Andy Serkis will be back in town Friday night for a career retrospective that is happening October 7 at 3pm inside the theater at Madison Square Garden. He will be talking about his groundbreaking work in the Apes movies while also participating in a fan Q&A.
War for the Planet of the Apes is written by Mark Bomback and Matt Reeves. It is a sequel to the 2014 film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and thethird installmentin the Planet of the Apes reboot series.
