Whenproductionbegan onWonder Womanback in November, Warner Bros. confirmed a number of new supporting cast members, such asRobin Wright, Saïd Taghmaoui,Elena AnayaandLucy Davis, alongside the previously-announcedGal GadotandChris Pine. In the months that have followed, we haven’t gotten confirmation about any of the supporting characters' identity, but it seems that another piece of the casting puzzle has come into place. Metro.uk has posted new photos from the London set, giving us our first look atLucy Davis, who appears to be playing Etta Candy.

The site reports that the characters' identity has not been confirmed, but many have surmised this is who she’s playing, given her red hair, costume and her friendship withGal Gadot’s Diana Prince. Both actresses are seen in London’s Trafalgar Square, in a scene depicting Armistice Day (July 20, 2025), the dayWorld War Iended. Many had speculated thatLucy Davis, best known for her roles onThe Office (U.K.)andShaun of the Dead, would be playing Etta Candy, and it seems those theories are true.

Wonder Woman

Etta Candy first appeared in theDC Comicsin 1942’s Sensational Comics #2, becoming best friends withWonder Womanafter she was saved by the heroine. At times, Etta Candy was also the love interest for Steve Trevor, when he was not withWonder Woman. Even ifLucy Davisis in fact playing Etta Candy, we don’t know how large or small her role will be in this superhero adventure quite yet. Etta Candy has also been portrayed as a blonde in the comics before, but it seems this movie version is going back to the character’s curly redhead origins.

Last year a rumor surfaced thatWonder Womanwill be set in three different time periods and settings. One of these settings is Diana’s homeland of Themyscira, and it is rumored that the Italy portion of the shoot will be used for the Themyscira scenes. It was also recently confirmed that another setting is World War I, with the last setting being present day, which will connect the movie to her appearance in the upcomingJustice League Part 1.
