With the Digital HD version ofX-Men: Apocalypsearriving on September 9, a newdeleted scenehas surfaced, giving us a glimpse at Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) practicing her archery skills. This scene also features the return of Alex Summers, a.k.a. Havok (Lucas Till), who introduces Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) to his younger brother Scott Summers, a.k.a. Cyclops (Tye Sheridan). As you can see in this scene, Cyclops hasn’t learned to harness his unique abilities quite yet.

Buzzfeed debuted the scene onFacebook, which shows Jean Grey practicing her telekinetic abilities through archery. While she initially aims at the target, she then moves to aim at one of her fellow students, before using her abilities to guide the arrow back to the bullseye. When production was under way in Montreal last year, directorBryan Singershared a video from the set where he was displaying some archery techniques toSophie Turner’sJean Grey, but that scene never made it in the finished product.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’sX-Menuniverse, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
